Our U-Pick Sewing Project series has become my own monthly sewing challenge - YOU challenge me to put my own spin on a cute project and I have loved the result every time!
This time I have 3 very different possible projects for you to choose from. Now that my kids are back in school I have a little more time to spend sewing. There are so many things that I want to try!
Here are my ideas for what our U-Pick Sewing Project could be this month. Make sure you vote to help determine what it will be!
I adore a good hobo bag. For a while the Swoon Sheena bag that I made was my favorite purse ever!
If I made my own version of this purple bag, I would keep the pleats at the bottom and the seam down the center. I think an exterior zipper pocket or two on one side of the bag would be in order.
I might simplify other details just because, well, I always love simple and easy!
On the other hand... the holidays always come so quickly, and I think it would be fun to have mini Christmas stockings this year.
They would be so handy for gift giving - just put a few doo-dads in side and you have the merriest little gift ever!
I couldn't find a picture that had every feature I love, so I made a collage - I would want a cute faux cuff, patches on the heel and toe, and maybe a pom-pom too. :)
This woven fabric basket I saw on all modern.com is just begging to be tried. I love the tall shape, the incorporated handles, and the flat bottom.
But I bet it would be much prettier in colorful fabric!
So what will our next U-Pick Sewing Project be?
Use the widget below to vote for our U-Pick project for September.
In a week the voting will close and I'll announce the winning project.
Give me 1 week to figure it out and sew my own version.
Then I'll take one more week to sew it again and take pictures so I can write a sewing tutorial for you.
This is going to be fun so make sure you vote and let all your friends vote too!
