The Holidays are upon us! I don’t know about your house, but in my house November 1st means Thankful-themed potholders, Christmas music, and lots of eye rolling from the kids while mom gets her holiday spirit on.
I don’t mind if Thanksgiving vibes and the Christmas spirit overlap because I have lots to be thankful for, and all my blessings come from Him whose birth we celebrate at Christmas.
Woo hoo for the holidays!
So anyway, can you tell that I was feeling the holidays when I picked our projects for this month’s U-Pick Sewing Project?
Let me show you… Make sure you scroll to the bottom to vote for what it will be!
I found these adorable oven mitts on Amazon and I think they would be just perfect for pulling Christmas cookies, pecan pie, and Swedish bread braids out of the oven - a family recipe!
Of course, they need cuter fabric. Those plain fabrics are just not ‘spirited’ enough. :)
Do you want cute DIY oven mitts for your holiday baking? Vote for them!
A Swedish gnome is called a Tomte and I found these on Amazon too. But I don’t want to pay $18 for one when I know I have enough cute fabric scraps to sew all of them!
Are you going to vote for me to make a Tomte sewing pattern?
I saw this bag on Pinterest and it looks so fun to make - with two fabrics! I couldn’t track down a pattern or tutorial for it, so I’m guessing that it came from a catalog somewhere and the bag is now unavailable
Would you like me to sew up my own version and write a tutorial for you?
You gotta vote!
Use the widget below to vote for our U-Pick project for November.
In a week the voting will close and I'll announce the winning project.
Give me 1 week to figure it out and sew my own version.
Then I'll take one more week to sew it again and take pictures so I can write a sewing tutorial for you.
This is going to be fun so make sure you vote and share so your friends vote too!
UPDATE: Voting for this project is closed. The winner was the adorable Christmas gnome! Get the free Christmas Gnome Pattern here.
