I think I need to go on a cruise.
Doesn’t this look like a tote bag that you’d carry on a cruise ship?
Of course this bag would be carrying a book, a swimsuit, and a DIY Pool Chair Cover so you have everything you need while you wait for your luggage to arrive in your room. Can you tell I’ve cruised a few times, lol?
But I don’t mean to make us all want to run away on a cruise ship so let’s look at the Color Blocked Tote that I made.
The outside of the tote is cool and sophisticated with navy, white, and teal fabrics.
And then the inside is a romantic party (is that a thing?) with a beautiful floral print.
I put a slightly inset zipper in it like I said I would and don’t worry - it’s not complicated!
It’s actually super easy.
I didn’t have time to make a fancy label, so I just cut out a rectangle of soft leather to sew on. What do you think?
I also took a chance and bought this rivet set from Amazon and gave it a try on my handles. The reviews weren’t perfect, but it worked surprisingly well for me - especially for the price. I’ll share more information about the rivet set soon. I think it’s the perfect topic for a Studio Chat, right?
And then I’ll write up the Color Blocked Tote tutorial as soon as I can. Watch for it!
