I can’t believe how much fun I had sewing up this cute Christmas gnome!
I got to scavenge through my scrap baskets picking out different pieces for his body, arms & legs, and adorable hat.
If you remember our inspiration gnomes, they had all sorts of scrappy fabrics on them, so I didn’t limit myself to any one kind of fabric such as felt, flannel, or cotton.
Instead, I stuck to my color theme of red, black, and white.
The arms and legs of the inspiration gnomes were all striped, but you know how much I love texty prints! This texty print that I had in my scrap bin (sorry, I don’t know where it came from) kind of reads like a stripe so I think it works well!
The only must-have textile on this little guy is the faux fur - and you don’t need very much.
After that, feel free to use felt, fleece, flannel, quilting cotton, or home decor prints for the rest of him!
The main parts are sewn together on a sewing machine, and then I hot-glued him together for a quick finish.
If you’d rather, you can hand-sew the parts together at the end instead.
