I’m so excited about this new wallet!
My latest version is such a delightful size and shape - and I used my favorite Rifle Paper Co. fat quarters to sew it up.
Looking at the exterior, there is a vinyl pocket on the back that is large enough for a cell phone or small notebook. It closes with a snap.
To my surprise, it is easy to swipe and use the smartphone’s touchscreen right through the vinyl.
Of course, this pocket is optional if you prefer not to have it.
Some of the other things that readers suggested were:
Lots of inward facing card slots so slippery cards wouldn’t fall out - check!
Billfold pockets large enough for flat bills - check!
A wrap around snap tab for either a magnetic or plastic snap - check!
There’s also a zipper pocket for coins or other small items. Yay!
As you can see, the second wallet version is just a little bit smaller than the first one. It is 5’’ x 8’’ when folded and 10’’ x 8’’ when open.
The number of d-ring tabs that you place on the exterior will be entirely up to you.
You could only attach one with a hand strap or two with a longer cross body strap - or none at all.
Don’t you think it looks amazing with my Rifle Paper Co. iPhone case??? And the wallet + phone together will look fabulous with my Rifle Paper Co dress! If you can’t find Rifle Paper Co fabrics (from Cotton + Steel) at your favorite local or online quilt shop, then I suggest looking on Etsy. It’s great for hard to find fabrics.
I’ve taken pictures and am working on a tutorial for this wallet. Watch for me to post it in a week (hopefully)!
