I have a new sewing obsession and you won’t believe how fun it is… sewing pop up zipper pouches!
I have been sewing so many of these little 3 dimensional zipper pouches lately it is embarrassing. But I think I have gotten so good that I can make a Pop Up Zipper Pouch in under 10 minutes.
Their adorable shape makes them perfect for holding wonder clips, bobbins, paper piecing supplies and more. Oh, and that’s just if I kept them in my sewing room, lol.
When zipped up like this they remind me of sting rays swimming. Sigh. I need to make some more.
Some of my pouches have embellishment strips like you see above. These have ByAnnies foam stabilizer inside.
But these pouches (above) have no extra embellishment (besides the little ‘tail), and they have fusible fleece inside.
Aren’t they just as cute?
I made these special Pop Up Pouches with orphan quilt blocks that I had lying around - and two of them (the outer ones) have quilt batting for a stabilizer.
Seriously, this is the perfect project for using up scraps around your sewing room.
I just finished putting the final touches on a new video course for the Pop Up Zipper Pouches, plus a downloadable pdf pattern that will go with it.
But it’s not going to be released until Saturday. Why? Because I had to do something special for my sewing support circle…
Members of This Little Light will have the Pop Up Zipper Pouches Video Course included in their membership plus they have early access starting today!
So if you are one of my This Little Light members, login to your dashboard now to see it!
Join This Little Light now if you have to have the new video course right now.
If not… start gathering your #4.5 handbag zippers and all your fabric, foam, and batting scraps because we are going to have a sewing party when the Pop Up Pouches Video Course officially releases on Saturday!!!
Thanks so much for reading. You are the best!
