I think I’m finally getting my groove back!
Since coming back from California a week ago, I finally finished my Huddle Quilt, I made a video about it, I sewed up another super cute (and secret project), and I even had time to go out for breakfast with a friend.
Update: the free pattern is ready - Learn how to make the Huddle Quilt here.
The Huddle Quilt Studio Chat video is super quick, he he. But I just had to turn on the camera - I was so excited to tell you I finished!
You may have seen my other video about this quilt where I showed you how I was quilting it with long wavy lines using my walking foot.
And this is so funny to me but I don’t know if you will find it funny too. It’s a long story so here goes… maybe I should just sum up:
We are babysitting my mother in law’s chickens.
We brought them to our house in their coop on a trailer down the highway (that is funny all by itself and I wish I had pictures)
It’s a crazy coop built from wood, pvc, wire mesh, and a electric shockwire all the way around (because our neighborhood has predators like raccoons and coyotes)
Cadie wanted me to take a quilt picture with the chickens in it
The chickens wouldn’t come so she was calling them.
Is that as funny to you as it is to me?
And then we did finally get a picture with chickens in it. :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
And hang tight - the Huddle Quilt Pattern is coming free to this blog soon. Hopefully next week. Sign up for my email newsletter so you don’t miss it!
