Some people prefer artificial Christmas trees (easy set up, easy to care for, and they can come with the lights already on!).
I must admit that if it weren’t for my husband, I’d be really tempted to buy one of those gorgeous flocked pre-lit trees that I see in the stores.
My husband, however, is an old fashioned sort who wants to go Christmas tree shopping for a live tree every year.
We have made tree shopping a tradition on the the Saturday after Thanksgiving and now it’s one of those things that I look forward to every year.
This week I finished a quilt that was inspired by our Christmas tree tradition.
And it was so easy! Give me a few days to write up a free pattern and I’ll share it with you here on my blog. My quilt turned out throw sized 52’’ x 54’’. But I’ll let you know how to make it larger too. (Sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss it.)
I quilted this quilt using wavy straight line quilting. See how it quilted it here.
If you love Christmas quilts you will want to make my free Merry Stars Quilt Pattern too.
