You need a quick gift and lucky for you, you know how to sew! Sewing gifts can be a fun and economical way to show your love and appreciation.
In my life, there is always something going on where a gift is needed, our would just be nice. Think holidays, birthdays, thank you's, the end of school (teacher appreciation gifts!) - quick-sew gifts are just the thing! I love to have a list like this one handy for baby showers, graduations, and other little events too that are always popping up.
These are my tried and true easy sewing gifts that I make over and over again - and people love them! No matter who you need to sew for - I bet you'll find something here...
Wrist Strap Keychains. Seriously - these get old and then people ask me to make them a new one. So really, the free tutorial never gets old!
Little Bow Headbands. Or headbands without the bow - a must have accessory that you can customize for any recipient. The stretchy elastic at the back makes it fit anyone too!
Snappy Coin Purse. Why do I call it snappy - because it snaps shut with the cut up tape measure pieces you hid inside! Put a little gift inside and you're good to go!
Rice Filled Neck Warmers. I stitched these up for teacher Christmas gifts one year, but they are always a hit no matter what the season... because who couldn't use some stress relief, right?
2 Sided Zips. One of my post popular sewing tutorials, the 2 sided zips can hold a phone, ID, and a bit of cash. Stuff a gift card inside and who wouldn't love this?
Easy 1 Yard Infinity Scarf. I love to sew these for people who are going away - good-bye parties, bon-voyages, even missionary farewells. Stitch one up in thick fabric for cold weather or breezy voile for summer weather.
Fast and Scrappy Wallet. Talk about a quick sew - this is my emergency go-to gift. :)
Bike Messenger Bag. Need something for a boy - here you go!
Fast and Easy Drawstring Backpack. I have had so many people email me saying that they sewed these little bags for their grandkids - and they were a hit! So happy to have helped. :)
The Father's Day Apron. I first designed this apron for a way to use quarter and half yard piece of fabric to make aprons for my dad, father in law, and husband. But depending on your fabric choice, I think anyone could love cooking in this sweet apron.
DIY Photo Pillows. Those cute photo pillows at the store are nice, but how about gorgeous digitally printed photos of your own kids (and dog)? The perfect present for anyone in the family.
Big Pocket Baby Clutch. The perfect gift to sew for a new mom, or a mom with lots of kids already who has nothing cute to carry baby stuff in!
And there you go - my best DIY easy sewing gifts. Have you made any of them? Tell me which ones in the comments - and make sure you use the hastag #sewcanshe on Instagram so I will see it!
