I'm so excited... it's finally okay for me to share with you this fun Zipper Clutch that I designed for It's Sew Easy TV!
This is the second project that I was able to film for Series 1500. It's always a treat to go to Ohio, have my hair and makeup professionally done, and then pretend I'm a movie star while I talk about sewing!
This time I designed an in-the-hoop project for all my machine embroidery fans.
And... this is another fun project with cork fabric - yay!
But you can also use felt, vinyl, or faux leather - any material that won't require a lining.
The free download file includes an instructional PDF plus the design in the following formats:
In case you aren't able to catch It's Sew Easy TV Episode 1508 on public television, I've posted the video to my YouTube channel (see above).
If you are already familiar with the process of making a zipper pouch with your embroidery machine - this project will be a breeze!
But even if you have tried this technique before, watch the video above (and bookmark it for later) so you have all my tips for using cork fabric, sticky stabilizer, and painter's tape.
Plus I'll show you exactly how to add whatever embellishment you'd like. You can dig into your own collection of small designs, or add a name or monogram.
This project requires a sewing machine capable of embroidery and a 5x7 hoop.
