Eeek! I think I'm going to have to subscribe to this!!!!
Subscribe to what, you say? Oh, I got ahead of myself.
Last week I got a super sweet email from someone at Mood Fabrics asking if I'd like a sample box from their new Swatch Club.
No strings attached: I could share it with you if I like, don't share if I don't feel like it, whatever.
So I said yes. I confess, it was the 'no strings attached' part that got me.
And then a few days letter I got the cutest note ever written specifically to me from Swatch the dog! (it's funny to be because I met Swatch a couple years ago when I visited Mood in person.)
Does everyone who joins the club get a not like this? I have no idea. Someone who has already subscribed will have to tell us in the comments.
Oh yeah. The note came with 25 beautiful fabric swatches too.
I think I'm falling in love with digitally printed fabrics. Those avocados! And zebras!
I also got a silk chiffon swatch, and pretty wrinkled satin. And some poplins, voiles, denims, and various stretch fabrics.
It can be tricky ordering fabric online if you are not sure what you are getting. But after seeing swatches like this you can be totally confident.
This is a great way to learn about new substrates too because there is a label on the back of each swatch has the name, type of fabric, and price clearly printed on it.
And there's more: the box came with a 10 page mini-magazine that includes a description of each fabric...
And ideas for how to use it!
These are not randomly chopped up swatches thrown in a box. Someone planned each one carefully and even printed up a booklet about them.
Plus, each of the 7 patterns shown in this Swatch Club Magazine are free on the Mood Fabrics Blog.
Seriously, this little box was such a welcome little surprise.
From the person who buys all the Christmas presents, all the birthday presents, and is almost never surprised - thank you Mood - I loved it!
