This week I've been working the tutorial for my Log Cabin Love Baby Quilt for you. It's almost ready. :)
I also sewed some strips together for another Glitter Quilt. They are so fun and easy - I think I'm addicted.
And I love this color combo of pink/red/coral.
I've also been keeping an eye on the Poll that I created for our U-Pick Sewing Tutorial for June. Have you had a chance to vote yet? There only a few days left so do it now and let me know what you want me to make.
I noticed that even though the cork project is not in the lead, a lot of you are interested in sewing with this amazing new textile.
Over 500 of you so far.
That made me want to drop everything and go play with it!
So I made these cute card wallets.
They were so easy. I mean SO easy. I love the way that cork cuts. Seriously. Like butter.
And it sews so easily too. I wasn't even using a heavy duty needle - I had a 12/80 in my sewing machine and I figured that I'd switch to a heavier needle if the machine started to struggle, but I never needed to.
And since cork has such a pretty and soft back side to it (plus it does not fray), you don't have to worry about lining projects like this either.
If you like these little card wallets I'll show you how I made them. Even if the cork project doesn't win the vote. Oh, I'm so nice! Or I just want to sew ALL the things. That's probably it. 😆
So what has your sewing machine been busy at this week? We want you to show off what you've been making. Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.
