A big thank you to Julie from Pink Doxies for sharing her quilting journey with us.
I can't wait to see a snapshot of your crafting journey tomorrow right here in our new linky party.
Sew up a beautiful hobo bag - it’s easier than you think!
As I designed the pattern for this bag, I wanted to keep it simple enough that it wouldn’t take more than a day to sew, and yet still have all the features that I want in an every day purse.
I’m not sure what to call this quilt… it’s a variation of the classic hourglass design, but I’m pretty sure the block looked like candy corn to me so that’s why I decided to stitch it up, lol!
Grab this super quick & easy tutorial for How To Make A Key Pouch From a Coin Purse…you’re going to love it:)
I used to visit a small quilt shop at least twice a month. I’d go in because there was something I needed, or I happened to be shopping nearby and I wanted to see what was new, or because I was traveling and I needed blog material (like: check out this new quilt shop I found!).
But then something I never expected happened and it’s still hard for me to think about without a lot of anxiety.
I’m so tickled! After showing you my cute Bit O’ Kindness pouches on Saturday, I don’t think any other sewing tutorial has ever been more requested!
So here you go…
I have had so much fun working on beautiful bags this week!
Sometimes a little bit of kindness can be a really big thing.
Like the 5 minutes someone spent yesterday morning to jump my car after the battery died. And then the 5 minutes someone else spent doing the same thing 2 hours later!
Thinking about the impact of small kindnesses inspired me to sew these little Bit O’ Kindness pouches.
You’re going to love the fun and thrifty ideas she shares on her blog…these bats are perfect for Halloween:)
Looking for a quick quilt pattern? Look no further than the classic log cabin design.
Its not just your grandma’s favorite quilt pattern anymore.
It can be your favorite quilt pattern too with these 5 fresh ways to sew a log cabin!
When I first showed you this cute little pouch last Saturday, one of you commented about it, calling it a ‘nappy pouch’ since that’s what you call baby diapers in the UK. I think that’s adorable!
So that’s what I’m naming it and I hope it doesn’t cause any confusion here in the U.S. - I’ll be sure to always be clear what it’s for, lol.
