First I want to THANK YOU, my readers, for your huge support of my Glitter Quilt Patterns release yesterday. The response was amazing to me. I haven't released a pattern for sale in a long time and I kind of wondered if people would be willing to pay for my work since 99% of it is already free. But you opened your hearts and showed such love and confidence in me that I'm truly honored to write for you!
So... how about a free baby quilt pattern? Last month I had so much fun letting you pick the quilt that I would sew with my Soiree fabric bundle. You picked the Sparkle quilt design and it turned out so gorgeous - get free pattern here!
Here's another bundle that I think you will love... QT Fabrics sent me a bunch of Junebee's new Penelope collection for an It's Sew Easy TV segment that I was about to film (about the scrappy pet leash) but then I didn't need very much fabric at all.
So I want to make a baby quilt with it! I know some people think 'baby fabric' when they make baby quilts (and that's cute) but why not make a beautiful floral baby quilt? I especially love that there's a strong red, white, and blue vibe in this collection and I think you'll see that reflected in my designs. :)
Last month my 'raindrops' quilt design had lots of votes too, but didn't win. I tweaked the design a little and made it smaller... and here's 'Sprinkle'! This quilt is 40'' x 50''
Newsflash to me: babies come in boy versions too! I need to add to my stash of baby quilt designs for boys specifically, I know. A couple years ago my son helped me make a sailboat storytelling quilt and I've wanted to recreate it for so long. So here it is: 'Boats at Night.' This quilt finishes at 40'' x 50'' too.
Oh, and I think it would be adorable for a girl too. :)
Last... here's the red white and blue quilt. I have never sewn a patriotic quilt before and I really want to! This quilt finishes at 40.5'' x 50''.
It's super important that you vote for your favorite quilt design before the voting closes next Tuesday night (and ask your quilting bee to vote too!) because the one that wins will become a free pattern/tutorial here on SewCanShe. Share with all your friends!
