Aloha! Who is ready for spring??? Me! I'm so in love with our sweet little mini quilt for March because she is definitely saying goodby to winter, don't you think?
This fun and funky mini quilt was designed by the super talented Mandy of Sew Quirky. Her work is absolutely amazing and if you love appliqué like I do then I totally recommend that you check out her website.
If you are new to appliqué - never fear! The Aloha mini quilt pattern includes lots of instructions and tips to ensure that yours turns out amazing too. I love all the little details on this mini quilt, from Ms. Pineapple's sunglasses to the pretty leaves.
The Aloha Mini Quilt will be released on Monday as part of our free Monthly Mini Quilt series here at SewCanShe. Use the menu bar above or check out my Mini Quilts Pinterest Board to get all the mini quilt patterns - including those from last year. Sign up for my newsletter so you don't miss a single one!
Now it's your turn to show off what you've been sewing up. What have you been sewing up this week? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.
At my daughter Chloe’s high school (can you believe my baby started high school???), the lunch lines are so long that she has been skipping lunch! She’s always starving by the time she gets home because she doesn’t want to carry a big lunch bag as well as her heavy backpack - poor girl!
Sew an easy card wallet using natural cork fabric. This new textile is durable, beautiful, and easy to sew! This free pattern is a great starter project - or a great way to use up scraps.
This Patchwork Cushion is beautiful on my piano bench, but it would look awesome on any other kind of bench too!
Need a gift bag, knitting or crochet bag, lunch bag... lingerie, shoe, make-up, scrap, button, or little bag for any other reason?
Sew up a delightful Drawstring Ditty Bag with my free tutorial!
My 2-part cross body bag is a success!
It took some sewing origami to make it work, but I didn’t give up until my bag looked pretty similar in size and construction to the inspiration bag that you voted for.
Here's how I made a narrow (but still scrappy!) dog leash for our new puppy... It's so much fun to make your own pet accessories!
All that’s required to make this beautiful sunglasses case (or glasses case) is a few supplies and an embroidery machine with a 5x7 or larger hoop!
When I first showed you this cute little pouch last Saturday, one of you commented about it, calling it a ‘nappy pouch’ since that’s what you call baby diapers in the UK. I think that’s adorable!
So that’s what I’m naming it and I hope it doesn’t cause any confusion here in the U.S. - I’ll be sure to always be clear what it’s for, lol.
I love to have little sketchbooks or art journals handy for when inspiration strikes, so that's what I decided to make. These little journals are so pretty that I'm sure they will inspire me all by themselves. Read on for a tutorial so you can make your own.
