I have something so much fun to share this week - I went to New York City for 'work'! I wish all of you were as lucky as me and could call playing with fabric work... we'd have so much fun together.
First I visited the design studio of QT Fabrics. We're putting together a special project and that's all I can say for now. Except that it is going to be FABULOUS!!!
Then the next day I boarded the 'F' train and rode all the way out to the end.
There in Queens I found the warehouse space occupied by Fabscrap, a brilliant new non-profit organization that helps keep fabric waste out of the landfills and in the hands of people who will sew with it!
Here is where they sort fabric scraps by color to sell online.
But if you are lucky to live close enough to visit like I did, you can buy larger amounts of fabric for $5 a pound.
I'm going to write more about my visit to Fabscrap soon - watch for it!
While I was in NYC I also visited Times Square and went to see the Phantom of the Opera - this trip was such a dream!
Now it's your turn to show off all your latest sewing projects. What have you been working on? Upload a picture and show us in our Show Off Saturday Picture Party!
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared on Instagram too with the hashtag #showoffsaturday. Let's spread the party worldwide!
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
