I don't think I've told you enough - the Chubby Lunch Tote that you (dear readers) voted for me to sew up in March is one of my favorite projects ever. It's fast, easy, and so darn useful! I mean, the original design was with insulbright insulated batting so you can keep your lunch cold, but this is also a sweet little bag perfect for carrying so many things!
Last month our friends at Blend Fabrics sent me a bundle of the new Panda-rama collection by Maude Asbury and asked me to sew up a Chubby Lunch Tote for them to take to Spring Quilt Market - yay!
I tried to use as many different fabrics on it as I could - they are just so darn cute!
This is a view of the inside of the tote. The lining, insulated batting, and exterior fabrics are all sewn together as one piece (which gives you an opportunity for quilting!) and the inside raw edges are bound. That means there's no baggy lining to get in the way and annoy you.
The next time I make this will be for a scripture case for my youngest one Cadie. She's turning 8 in a few weeks and we have a tradition of gifting our kids with 'real' scriptures when they turn 8. I can't believe it has come so fast! <3
Okay, your turn! What beautiful things have you been sewing up lately? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.
