My kids had the most ah-mazing teachers this past year. Superheroes. Really. As I sewed up these teacher tote bags over the past couple of weeks (in between all my other WIP's, lol), all I could think about was how much they deserved them. Because my kids aren't always easy. Okay, they are a HANDFUL. And somehow they all learned enough to pass to the next grade, thanks to a handful amazing teachers.
And I used my embroidery machine to tell those teachers exactly what I think of them!

Here's how I made a narrow (but still scrappy!) dog leash for our new puppy... It's so much fun to make your own pet accessories!
All that’s required to make this beautiful sunglasses case (or glasses case) is a few supplies and an embroidery machine with a 5x7 or larger hoop!
When I first showed you this cute little pouch last Saturday, one of you commented about it, calling it a ‘nappy pouch’ since that’s what you call baby diapers in the UK. I think that’s adorable!
So that’s what I’m naming it and I hope it doesn’t cause any confusion here in the U.S. - I’ll be sure to always be clear what it’s for, lol.
I love to have little sketchbooks or art journals handy for when inspiration strikes, so that's what I decided to make. These little journals are so pretty that I'm sure they will inspire me all by themselves. Read on for a tutorial so you can make your own.
Make a strip quilt and quilt it as you go (QAYG) so by the time the quilt top is done, the back and quilting are done too, and you are ready for binding!
Sew up a cute little bag to fit inside your purse - voila! Organized purse!
Can you guess which project won the vote?
I know, I know... you probably think that I am oblivious to the fact that it is summer because I have been posting so much about Christmas! It is much more likely that I am trying to wish away our 90 degree Florida summer weather, he he.
Here are some of the latest projects that readers have sewn up using my free sewing patterns. I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me! I’ll link each photo to the sewing pattern or tutorial for that project.
