Check out my mini quilt wall now! Do you know which one is new?
It's this adorable Criss Cross Mini designed by Nadra Ridgeway of ellis & higgs! Nadra is an amazing quilter and designer and I'm so thrilled she agreed to design our mini quilt this month.
This mini quilt may look complicated, but don't be fooled! Nadra's tutorial is going to show you how to sew easy quarter square triangles (if you didn't already know) and then how to transform them into simple units so you can stitch this one up in an afternoon - I did!
I quilted mine the same way that I Nadra did with just a few easy straight lines (using my walking foot). I think it really compliments this charming little quilt.
The free Criss Cross Mini Quilt Pattern will be posted here on Monday (and you'll get to see Nadra's delightful quilt!), but if you want to cut out your fabrics go ahead and cut 16 5'' squares (2 light and 2 dark in 4 different colors) plus 32 2'' squares.
Now it's your turn! What have you been sewing up this week? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.
