Look at this beautiful mess of color and texture... It's QuiltCon 2017! QuiltCon is the major event for the Modern Quilt Guild. It used to be every other year, but it is now annual. I don't have a guild nearby, so I'm an Individual Member. :)
And they picked beautiful Savannah, Georgia for the venue this year. I had never been here before and it is absolutely a dream! The food is delicious, the people are friendly, and the architecture in downtown Savannah is amazing - I wish I had time for a tour.
But I'm spending most of my time with the quilty people over at the International Trade and Convention Center. If you are following me on Instagram or Facebook, you will have seen bunches of quilts and fun people that I've run into. The quilt above by Katherine Jones was awarded best in show - and it's simply stunning. Go to my Instagram page to see the whole thing. Do you see the basket tote that I just sewed (get the free pattern here)?
If you are at QuiltCon too and you see me, be sure to say hi! I'd love to meet anyone who reads my blog. I leave early Sunday morning, so don't wait until it's over. Once I get home and have a chance to write more about it I will - I'm having so much fun and have so much to tell you about!
Oh, and Stephanie of Modern Sewciety grabbed my friend Sarah and I to interview first in this facebook live video, lol!
So what have you been working on? Did you get a lot of sewing done this week? Share a picture of what you made with us in our Show Off Saturday Linky party!
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared our linky party on your blog... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
