Update: My free Pretty Pictures Quilt Tutorial and Pattern is ready. Enjoy!
This week I whipped up a new quilt... yes, miracles do happen when Christmas is approaching! :)
I love the beautiful panel prints that Cori Dantini creates for Blend Fabrics. Each one is accompanied by a set of coordinating fabrics - everything you need to make an adorable quilt super fast. This collection is called Sugar and Spice and it contains one frame-worthy girl power picture after another!
I used a combination of simple squares and appliqué petals to make a pretty frame for each of the adorable pictures in the fabric.
Add some borders, easy straight line quilting and machine binding, and you'll have a pretty-as-pictures throw quilt in no time! My Sugar and Spice quilt was finished in just a few fun sewing sessions. Now I can't wait to write up the instructions and give you the free pattern in plenty of time for you to sew one up for Christmas. Pull those panel fabrics out of your stash ladies and get ready for it!
Okay, your turn! What have you been sewing up? Will you share a photo with us in our Show Off Saturday Picture Party?
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared on Instagram too with the hashtag #showoffsaturday. Let's spread the party worldwide!
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
