How's your mini quilt wall coming? Are you ready for a new quilt for it? You are going to LOVE our mini quilt for November. It was designed by the beautiful Sedef Imer (of Down Grapevine Lane) but I have to warn you...
My version is wayyyyy different than hers! I mean, when you see the pattern on Monday, you might not recognize it. Don't get mad!
You know I got this beautiful Tula Pink All Stars coordinates bundle at Quilt Market last weekend and I couldn't wait to try them. I'm still saving my focal prints bundle, but I thought I could spare a few small squares cut from these stripes and pom poms (that's what Tula is calling her polka dots!).
Here it is! I simply adore it. I used some left over pieces of Tula's Slow and Steady for the circles and put stripes and pom poms from the new coordinates in the center.
Don't go thinking these curved pieces are going to be difficult - they are appliqué! Sedef has shared an easy appliqué method for sewing them, but of course if you already have a favorite method, you can use it!
If you're not sure whether you like my super-modern mini, just wait until you see Sedef's version. Her Sweet Prairie fabrics make it simply divine.
Now it's time for our Show Off Saturday picture party. Of course, you may share pictures of whatever you have been sewing lately, but I hope you share pictures of your mini quilt wall - they are so much fun to see!
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared on Instagram too with the hashtag #showoffsaturday. Let's spread the party worldwide!
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
