Update: My free Tiny Bag Pattern is ready!
I sewed a tiny tote and it turned out so adorable! To be honest, I was kind of worried that it would be a silly waste of time and fabric. But the current 'tiny house' craze on TV was what inspired me. If a tiny house can be so cute, would a tiny bag be cute too?
Turns out I love it! It's just the right size for a phone, small wallet, and some keys.
I put a couple tiny pockets inside to keep my tiny stuff organized too. :)
As you can see, I sewed another one too! That's because I the first one was a success and I decided to write a tutorial. Watch for it next week! If you don't get the SewCanShe newsletter, sign up now so you don't miss the free pattern.
So, what have you been sewing up this week? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.
I'm so excited that now I get to share with you the other sweet project from the One Step Quilts project panel from Lecien!
At my daughter Chloe’s high school (can you believe my baby started high school???), the lunch lines are so long that she has been skipping lunch! She’s always starving by the time she gets home because she doesn’t want to carry a big lunch bag as well as her heavy backpack - poor girl!
Sew an easy card wallet using natural cork fabric. This new textile is durable, beautiful, and easy to sew! This free pattern is a great starter project - or a great way to use up scraps.
This Patchwork Cushion is beautiful on my piano bench, but it would look awesome on any other kind of bench too!
Need a gift bag, knitting or crochet bag, lunch bag... lingerie, shoe, make-up, scrap, button, or little bag for any other reason?
Sew up a delightful Drawstring Ditty Bag with my free tutorial!
My 2-part cross body bag is a success!
It took some sewing origami to make it work, but I didn’t give up until my bag looked pretty similar in size and construction to the inspiration bag that you voted for.
Here's how I made a narrow (but still scrappy!) dog leash for our new puppy... It's so much fun to make your own pet accessories!
All that’s required to make this beautiful sunglasses case (or glasses case) is a few supplies and an embroidery machine with a 5x7 or larger hoop!
When I first showed you this cute little pouch last Saturday, one of you commented about it, calling it a ‘nappy pouch’ since that’s what you call baby diapers in the UK. I think that’s adorable!
So that’s what I’m naming it and I hope it doesn’t cause any confusion here in the U.S. - I’ll be sure to always be clear what it’s for, lol.
