This week we undertook the task of putting away all the Christmas decorations (isn't that a bear!), but then I cheered myself up by hanging a quilt on the wall! This is a quilt that I sewed a few years ago and submitted to QuiltCon. It's my very own #quiltconreject but I love it.
In case you were wondering, I never wrote a pattern for this quilt, but I did share how to make a HST heart like this in my free HST Heart Mini Quilt Pattern.
We've lived in this house for 6 months now. I remodeled and designed my dream sewing studio first. Now I'm finally thinking about the rest of the house, lol.
I found some wooden curtain brackets at the thrift store, so I decided to give them a try. Here are some similar brackets you could get on Amazon
First I sewed a quilt sleeve to the top edge of the back of my quilt. I used this tutorial.
Then my cute hubby measured and hung up the brackets.
I slipped a dowel through the quilt sleeve and in just a few minutes, it was up! I took these photos immediately after, so the wrinkles hadn't come out yet. But they are gone now, a few days later.
