A few years ago I promised myself that I wouldn't get another serger until I could have one with air threading, and here she is! A sister to my straight stitch Juki TL-2010Q, lol. I first saw this serger at Quilt Market last year.
Now, cutting serger threads is fun, not despair!
The new looper threads just run through the tension disks and down into these little holes. When I push the button, an burst of air shoots them out in the right place.
There is a little more to it than that, but it's super easy. I watched the Crafty Gemini's video about it once and had it down. :)
To be fair, I have only had the machine a couple days and had time to play with her a few times. I did some mending (sewed up a couple split seams) and sewed through a bunch of scrap fabric. I LOVE how smooth sounding she is and the huge catcher bin.
I'll write a real review for you in a couple weeks when I have had the chance to put her to good use! In the meantime you can read more about the Juki MO-1000 on the AllBrands website.
And now what are you going to share for Show Off Saturday? Upload a picture and share what you've been sewing up!

I would love it if you shared our linky party on your blog... here's a button to make it easy.
