So, this little blog 'experiment' that I thought might last a month or two is getting bigger and bigger. I had to make a Pinterest board for the 'Solved Un-Tutorials' because now people are emailing me asking where to find them, lol! Who knows how many we will solve? So from now on, you can find all of the 'Solved Un-Tutorials' here.
Un-Tutorials are those sneaky pins that lead you to believe there's a tutorial behind them - and then there's not. Those kinds of pins are so common that I gave them a name and started a Pinterest board.
And now it's time for YOU to vote for the Un-Tutorial that I'll solve (aka write a new tutorial for) this month!
Will it be...
This peek-a-boo pouch? Okay, I just made that name up, but I love how this snap pouch opens up to have 2 pockets (1 zippered) and you can easily see what's inside.
Summer is here! This adorable little skirt with tons of ruffles and tons of ric-rac is begging to be sewn. Will you vote for it?
Or a Japanese cell phone wallet? There is a photo-tutorial for this, but if you'd like to see me sew up my own version with a more detailed tutorial, vote for it below. :)
Remember... whatever project wins, I'll be sewing my own knock-off version and then giving you a tutorial the week after that. So vote below for the project that you'd like to see me sew!
Next Wednesday voting will close and I'll announce the winner. Then I'll get started sewing it up. On the 3rd Wednesday this month I'll share pictures of our finished project and on the 4th Wednesday I'll share a tutorial of my version.
And please come pin to our Un-Tutorials board! If you want, you can even grab pictures of things other places on the web or upload pictures you snapped from your phone (at Target, lol?). Leave me a comment with your email address at the bottom of this post so I can give you permission to add pins to our board. Be sure to read and follow the rules at the top of the Pinterest page.
P.S.... Lots of people will assume I picked these projects because I couldn't find another tutorial for them. They will send me links to similar tutorials. Before you do that, read my opinion on the subject:
1. You will probably find similar tutorials online to the ones I am suggesting.
2. I'm writing this blog series mostly to have fun with my readers and to find out what they want me to write next - not really to write a tutorial for something that hasn't been written before.
3. I love to see how different bloggers put their own spin on easy projects.
I hope you do too and you decide to keep reading!
xoxo
