Check out this adorable Car Diddy Bag! It's ready to hold my phone (and the cords, lol), a couple pens, and anything else I want to toss in there quick while I'm driving. From the front you can see it has all the features that we noticed on our Inspiration Bag. But there's more...
I love it when you (my sweet readers) leave suggestions in the comments. That's where this handy secret zipper pocket came from. It's on the back of the pouch so it's not immediately noticeable and it's the perfect place to stash a few dollars or an emergency credit card in case you forget your purse. :)
Cat (another reader) left the brilliant suggestion of using velcro to stick the bag to the floor to keep it from sliding around. It works great! If you read my previous UnTutorials post, there was some concern about a bag putting unneeded pressure and pull on the stick shift. We decided to go ahead with this project anyway, and fix that by making the strap long enough so that the bag sits on the floor plus using velcro to hold it in place. I think we did a great job solving the problem!
I couldn't incorporate all of the suggestions (there were a lot!), but I think that this tutorial will be easily customizable. You could divide your pockets differently, add more pockets on the inside, or even make 2 bags and use them saddle-bag style.
So be sure to check back next Wednesday for the Car Diddy Bag tutorial, and then the week after that when we get to start all over with new Pinterest Un-Tutorial projects to vote on!
Thanks so much for following this series and making it so much fun for me. I love the challenge of figuring out how to sew something from a picture, and I love incorporating your ideas!
