We have another clear winner this month... among the three Un-Tutorials I offered to write a pattern for you wanted...
This Japanese linen tote with drawstrings! Even though I loved all three choices, I think this one will be simply fabulous to own, so thank you for picking it, lol!
The original pin leads to a Japanese site with lots of pictures, but no tutorial (that's why I pinned it to my UnTutorial board). From what I see, it looks like the exterior of the bag should have cute bound pockets and the inside is patchwork on one side. It's reversible, yay! The drawstring casing is also patchwork and there are wide handles instead of straps.
The only thing I'm wondering about right now is whether I should go with actual linen (as I am sure the original tote bag is made with) or maybe I should substitute 7oz natural cotton canvas. It is a tiny bit heavier than linen, but less expensive and it might hold up better.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
And be sure to check back next Wednesday when I reveal my Japanese Tote Bag knock off... the tutorial will be posted a week after that. :)
Happy sewing and pinning!
