I had fun this week using Flower Sugar Maison again to sew up a cute little tote (it matches my Milk Carton Coin Purse, but I forgot to photograph them together - oops!).
Part of the reason why I love this fabric is that the stripes come with it - they are a border to the lovely floral gingham. It's so much fun to cut the stripe border off and use it on a different part of your project (like I did on this other tote).
Did you notice all the quilting I did on this little tote? I was browsing Instagram before I started sewing, and felt inspired to quilt in a spiral rectangle starting at the bottom of the bag. This is easiest using a walking foot (or even feed foot).
I love how it turned out! This weekend I'll finish writing the tutorial for this tote... watch for it on Monday!
And what about you? Did you have fun sewing or quilting something special this weekend? Share a picture with us in our Show Off Saturday Picture Party!
