Wrap dresses are very flattering on many different body types, mainly because it accentuates the waist and can hide all of the things us ladies can be self conscious about. I chose M6713 by Mccalls. This pattern is a faux wrap, which has very nice ruching at the shoulders & waist in addition to the pleated drape on the skirt. There are several different options included with this pattern, but I recommend view D.
The Pattern also recommends that you use 2 way stretch knits only, so the fabric I chose will work perfectly. I chose to go with a printed spandex. The pattern is very interesting. From a distance, it looks kind of like waves, but as you get closer you realize the wave design is created using uneven rectangles of various colors. You could also use this fabric to make really cute swimsuits, costumes, dance wear, active wear, etc.
Here are some other fabric ideas for this sewing pattern:
All of the fabric swatches you see are actual fabric from our inventory and we hope they will inspire you to create an amazing look. As you can imagine, it can be difficult to find the exact same fabric. In some cases we have found the same print just in a different color or just a very similar print.
Create This Look was inspired by some posts I saw on Pinterest. A few years ago, a blogger posted collages using an inspiration dress (usually from ModCloth), a pattern, & fabric (from various sources). This inspired me to do something similar, but instead I use fabric exclusively from TheFabricMarket.com. I started out posting one look a day but, soon discovered that if I continued at that pace I would run out of inspiration looks. ;P I have since cut back to one a week.

I'll see you soon with another fun new look.
