Do you sew enough for yourself? Come join us in our re-sew-lution to get some selfish sewing in this year. Each month in our Just For You Sewlebrity Sewalong, I'm inviting two of my favorite 'sewlebrity' bloggers to make something from my new book, Just For You.
Then at the end of the month, I'm posting pictures of projects that our fans stitched up. It's so much fun... make sure you check out the projects from January's fan picture post.
And everyone who joins in gets a Sewlebrity button! That's right, I'm sending them all over the world! You can get one for every project that you make. Just send me a picture by the end of the month. :)
The two projects that we're making this month are the Hollywood Scarf (above) and the Venna Tote. The Hollywood Scarf was designed by Venus of Suburbia Soup and we love how glamorous it is. Whenever I put it on, I feel like hopping on the back of a motorcycle and riding around Italy.
I made this one with silky smooth Anna Maria Horner rayon fabric, but with all this cold weather I'm thinking a hooded wool scarf might be in order.
The Venna Tote was designed by my friend and co-author Sarah Markos. This gorgeous pleated bag is small enough to use for a purse (I've done that) but nice and roomy inside for when you need to tote stuff around.
This is the version that I to Quilt Market and I had to tell a million people that there was no pattern, but the book was coming!
Which project will you make? Grab a copy of Just For You and watch for our next 'Sewlebrity' post next Wednesday!
