This week I got to play with some beautiful new fabric that's coming soon from Anna Griffin. It's called the Francis Collection and it will be available at a Hancock's Fabric near you (hopefully)!
I used it to sew up three more 2 Sided Zips from the tutorial that I wrote last year. They are totally easy to make - don't be afraid of the curved metal zipper!
In fact, my instructions show you how to install that zipper without ever sewing over the teeth - so go for a pretty metal zipper and add some bling to your pouch!
They are the perfect size for an iPhone 4 or 5, and there's even a card pocket. So make a few 2 Sided Zips for gifts right now, it is Saturday after all!
So, what have you been sewing up this week? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.

You may have noticed that I've been doing a lot of straight line (or wiggly straight line, lol) quilting lately... it's true! So here are 4 easy variations on straight line quilting that I think YOU will love.
Sew a row of pockets to keep extra things off your nightstand and organize your bedside!
I’ve got more amazing reader projects to show you… I don’t think you know just how much I love seeing the things that you make with my free sewing patterns and tutorials. Thank you so much for posting them to Instagram to show me!
I slipped a dowel through the quilt sleeve and in just a few minutes, it was up! I took these photos immediately after, so the wrinkles hadn't come out yet. But they are gone now, a few days later.
Dress up a plain binder with an easy padded cover!
This DIY binder cover makes your binder so much better with a large outside pocket and two inside pockets for pens, pencils, or scissors.
I'm so excited to offer you my first machine embroidery design! As many of you know, I recently bought a Janome Memory Craft 14000 Sewing and Embroidery machine from SewingMachinesPlus.com and I love it (see my unboxing post here). I find myself torn between sewing and embroidery - I can't get enough of either!
Can you guess which project won the vote?
I'm so excited to share with you this new little clutch bag pattern! I've been loving a whole lot of little bags that I see on Pinterest - especially those that have a zipper compartment on the inside - so I decided to incorporate a little zipper pouch inside this little bag.
