Let's talk about selfish sewing! With the hot weather upon us, I decided to make myself something cool and easy to wear.
By the way... I am still so happy with the little dress that I made for Cadie with fabric from Monaluna. After lots of washes (do your kids mix up clean clothes with the dirty ones?) it is still looking great.
The Tea Blossom Tunic has dolman sleeves which makes it so fast and easy to sew. I could have used the yellow dot fabric at the neckline and sleeve edges to make them contrast and stand out more, but I really loved that smaller tulip print (Little Garden) so that's what I used.
I made a size L based on my bust size and it fit perfectly except it turned out too long. I'm only 5'4'' and have to shorten everything so no surprise. I took about 4'' off the hem and now I want to wear it every day.
So... what have you been stitching up? Share a picture in our linky party...
Remember, if you decide to post your picture(s) online (like on facebook, flickr, or your blog) the linky page will let you enter a link to the page where it is so we can visit it. If it's not posted online yet, you may skip that part and upload a picture from your computer. We all can't wait to see!
Don't forget, the most clicked project will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared our linky party in your blog post... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
