Welcome back to the Just For You blog hop! Every weekday in November a different designer will be posting a book giveaway and sharing the inspiration and ideas behind their project(s) in the book. Make sure you also enter to win the huge Just For You book and fabric bundle here.
Today the blog hop takes us to Sarah Markos of Blue Susan Makes. She did more than just contribute projects, though. Sarah worked just as hard as I did to author this book. We had countless meetings (lots at Chick-fil-a while our pre-schoolers played) to plan, edit, and organize the projects. Then we stitched up over 400 step-out pieces for the photographs. Whew!
Sarah is a stay at home mom with a passion for fabric. She came by this passion naturally because her mother and grandmother also loved fabric. In Sarah’s family, handmade gifts were cherished and creativity was encouraged, resulting in doll dresses, church dresses, prom dresses, wedding dresses, and countless other sewing projects. She learned to sew at an early age but really learned to love it as a teenager when she took apart her favorite pair of pants and used it as a pattern to make a new pair.
Sarah lives in West Melbourne, Florida, with her husband and 4 children. She has a BS in Nursing from Brigham Young University and enjoys telling her kids gory stories from her life as an Operating Room nurse. She also loves running, reading to her children, refinishing furniture, and teaching people to sew.
