The kit has laser cut pieces with HeatnBond lite on the back so of course I said yes! I got the sleigh block. I received everything pictured here, except the batting. Plus some instructions. The embroidery thread was included too. :)
The instructions were awesome. I embroidered the sleigh runners first and then followed the specified order for fusing the applique pieces. No cutting. I love how accurate the laser cut pieces are.
Once I fused all the pieces in place, I stitched them down with embroidery thread. This block was so fast to make!
Since I wanted to make my block into a little holiday wall hanging, I had to pick out some backing and binding fabric. This is Urban Patch Evening from Monaluna. It's not meant to be Christmas fabric, but I totally think it takes on a holiday vibe.
What do you think?
And are you ready to win some fabric spending money? All you have to do is tell me which block in the picture at the top is your favorite. I'm kinda partial to the sleigh block, but maybe that's because I made it. And because my Connor said it looks like the Grinch's sleigh (you know the Grinch stole the tree too) and Connor wants to hang it in his room. :)
Leave your answer in the comments below and on October 15th at 10pm I'll let random.org pick the winner.
And how about more chances to win fabric? All of the other bloggers in the blog hop are giving away gift certificates too!
