I'm so excited for Quilt Market in Houston next week! Sarah and I get to do a School House presentation (actually we're turning it into a runway fashion show, eeek!) to tell quilt shop owners about our new book Just For You. It's from 1:35-2:05 in room 362D - Come!
We're also doing a book signing on Saturday. That's at 3:00 in the C&T booth (#2337)
Then on Sunday I'm so pumped to do a make & take in the Simplicity booth (#1100) at 11:00 am.
I'll be demonstrating how to make an adapted version of the Foxy Cell Phone Cosy. It's a project that Lisa Cox of Spoonful of Sugar designed for Just For You. This one isn't constructed in the exact same way, obviously, since we won't be able to use sewing machines at market. But it still turned out 'sew' cute! We'll be using this amazing product from Thermoweb called Fabric Fuse.
I also switched the felt colors and doesn't the second one look like a racoon? I love it. It's a great size for the iPhone and I'll be bringing some larger pre-cut pieces of felt if people happen to have a bigger phone (I'm so jealous if you have an iPhone 6 already).
Moving on... a quick shout-out and thank you to the folks at Silhouette America for my life saving Cameo. I could never cut out 100 make and take kits without you! And of course thank you to National Non-Wovens for all the felt. There wouldn't be a single kit without you, lol! This is their newest collection of yummy colors that I can't get enough of.
So if you're going to be at Quilt Market next week, make sure you stop by the Simplicity booth at 11:00 am Sunday to make a Foxy (or Racoon) Cell Phone Cosy with me!!! I can't wait.
So, what have you been sewing up this week? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.
