I'm in Houston at Quilt Market!!!! So this is what I have to show off this week:
When I should have been walking out the door, I was sewing myself a cute lanyard to carry my quilt market pass. Caroline's Quilt Market tip: take a cute lanyard because otherwise you will only have a rubber string to hang around your neck.
All that last minute sewing might have made us late for our plane, but the flight was delayed over 2 hours, so no big deal. When we finally checked in to our hotel, it was time to update SewCanShe... thank goodness for free wi-fi! My roomie Sarah of Blue Susan Makes took this picture.
Friday wasn't a real Quilt Market day, instead we had Schoolhouse - classes about all kinds of books, fabrics, sewing patterns, and quilting stuff. I did, however get to take a quick walk-through of the showroom floor and it was amazing - so much busy-ness going on. Thank you Bonnie of Fishsticks Designs who let me in. :)
I didn't take very many pictures during Schoolhouse because I knew I'd look pretty silly getting out of my seat to snap pics of everything I swooned over. But some things were particularly blog-worthy. Like this gorgeous butterfly quilt by Tula Pink. The pattern is coming out very soon.
This quilt is also by Tula Pink. Can you tell I'm a fan of hers?
This royal kitty bed was made by Michael Miller fabrics. It is super detailed and I couldn't help taking a picture. I actually saw them rolling this royal kitty down the hallway on a cart and knew I had to follow them and see whatever class it was. Then I learned that Michael Miller has some amazing new prints coming out. Can't wait to sew some.
My day came to a lovely end with a late night snack with Heather (The Sewing Loft), Becky (Patchwork Posse), Jennifer (Ellison Lane) and Andrea (Stitchery Dickory Dock). Those are some fun and talented girls!
I can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend holds... Follow @sewcanshe on instagram to get minute-by-minute updates.
So what have you been working on this week? I can't wait to see!
