Sarah told me this could be done, so I got out a pile of scraps and played around until I did it... a snappy pouch with a tape measure closure (yes, you're gonna cut up a metal tape measure)! I love this cute little pouch because it keeps your coins in like a zipper pouch, but it doesn't have a zipper. I now have 'orders' from all my kids to make them one - they don't want my practice versions.
Ya'll know I love to sew potholders. It's the perfect way to use up fabric and batting scraps. And to practice quilting. Plus when you're done you have a beautiful and useful item. Sometimes I give them away and (I admit) a lot of the time I keep them for myself. Having a cute potholder makes cooking bearable for me. Why only bearable? Because I'd much rather be sewing. :)
Wow! Can I tell you how amazed (and happy!) I am that so many of you want to sew up this little case for crochet hooks? But really, you can make this fold over case to fit so many different items that I didn't want to limit you.
