Just in time for summer (today is my kids' last day of school - eeek!) my first DIY card holder is done! This was the project that you (cute readers) picked for me to sew up in our May UnTutorials challenge.
My oldest daughter turned 12 this month - she's almost a teenager! I'm torn between loving our new friendship (that includes sharing shoes and discussing books) and battling new behaviors like eye rolling and selective hearing.
Anywho... she loved the bags I sewed up when I was working on my free Arial Tote sewing pattern, so I decided to make her a special one for her birthday.
It's getting a little buggy over here... but not the bad kind of bugs - the cute kind! My friend Rosie of Bustle & Sew is sharing a free sewing pattern to make this throw pillow that's covered in adorable bugs!
I'm so crazy about word art these days. Every time I see an inspirational meme or quote, I want to print it up and tape it on my wall so I can look at it (and my kids will look at it!). But printed up memes taped to the wall are kind of... lame.
