Happy June everyone! Are you ready to add another adorable new mini quilt to your wall???
I can't remember if I told you already or not - I designed our mini quilt for June! I've been feeling inspired to sew Dresden blocks lately so that's what I made into our mini. I used fabrics from Nadya Ridgeway's latest Riley Blake fabric collection - Arbor Blossom. You can find it at Fat Quarter Shop here. :)
The chubby dresden petals are applique, sewn over a cute piece of patchwork in the middle.
And there's even a chance for you to embellish the appliqued leaves with some easy thread art of your own! I'm still not sure what to name it. Any ideas?
You can find all of our previous mini quilts (one for each month - yay!) in the menu bar at the top of the page and on my Mini Quilt Pinterest Board. Join in at any time and sew along with us - we'll even show off your mini quilt if you send us a picture during the month that the pattern was released here on the SewCanShe blog.
I'll post the pattern for this June mini quilt here on Monday so be sure to come back!
And now... what have you been working on? Share a picture with us in our Show Off Saturday picture party.
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared on Instagram too with the hashtag #showoffsaturday. Let's spread the party worldwide!
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
