That's why I felt so, so lucky when I was able to attend her Geometrics and Rulers Long Arm Quilting Class. Besides being a quilting superstar, she is funny, kind, and an incredible teacher.
The class consisted of 10-15 minute periods of whiteboard instruction followed by Angela's demonstration on a long arm machine, and then our turn to practice - 2 to a machine! We repeated the instruction, observation, and practice about 5 times. The class never got boring and Angela's techniques never seemed too difficult to try.
By the end of the class I was actually proud of my work! I don't currently own a long arm quilter, just a mid-arm Juki that I put on a Grace Frame sometimes. But now I really, really, want a long arm quilter. Maybe I should go back and read my own blog post What's a Long Arm and Do I Need One?
Thank you so much to Angela Walters for sharing her talents with us. I don't know very many people who work as hard as she does or deserve success! You can learn from Angela too... see her books here and her many Craftsy classes here.
