A couple weeks ago I told you about my plans to make a king sized quilt for my bed this year, plus I invited anyone else who is sewing a king sized quilt to do it along with me!
I've made progress since then - have you?
Lots of cutting...
Some creasing and sewing...
And then more cutting, sewing, and a whole lot of pressing later... I've got some pieces up on my quilt design wall!
This is the pattern I'm using. It's Kimberly Einmo's Chain Saw quilt from her Craftsy Class Magical Jelly Roll Quilts.
I decided to make 16 chain saw blocks instead of 9 because I want the quilt to be at least 100'' square.
But now, I'm wondering if I really want the dark and pieced borders. I think maybe I'll keep it simple and just use bigger sashing strips than she did and borders that match my background fabric. What do you think?
And what have you been working on this week? Your king sized quilt? Upload a picture and share whatever it is with us in our Show Off Saturday Picture Party!
