It's Cinco de Mayo, a very special day for so many people filled with the celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
Tradition, hope, freedom and love are some of the greatest motivators and inspirations for artists and creators of beautiful things:) I want to take this opportunity to share some of them with you today!
The quilt pictured above is called "Cinco de Mayo" and was made by the Buda Bee Quilters in Texas...truly an explosion of extreme talent, gorgeous color combinations, and hours upon hours of dedicated work. Just amazing!
This is another quilt that beautifully displays Mexican tradition and heritage. It was made with love by Mary Moses, a talented Grandma in Pocatello, Idaho as a gift for her grandson.
Day of the Dead is a deeply rooted Mexican tradition. It's a celebration of love and remembrance for ancestors that have passed on.
Whatever it is that inspires and motivates you to express your talents and create beautiful things, I would take this opportunity to thank, encourage and commend you!
Now go share your what you've learned with someone else and may the legacy continue.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
