Last month Cadie came to me with this book she found on my shelf and begged to sew this little 'chicken' for a friend, lol. Okay the bird is really a 'Kiwi' and the book is Stitch Love by Mollie Johanson.
It's a darling book full of 25 adorable things to sew and endearing hand embroidery patterns that I have had every intention of reviewing for you for a while now. But I hate reviewing a book without actually making something from it. So thanks to Cadie here it is!
I Love it! And you will too if you love sweet little things to do with felt and embroidery. Most of the projects are probably above the skill level of a child, but Cadie had so much confidence that she could make that 'chicken,' I decided to help her through it.
Bonus: Lark Crafts provides a link in the book so you can download full size versions of the pattern templates for free. Otherwise you'll have to copy and enlarge most of them, which is standard for most craft books.
She had her first lesson on hand embroidery. It took a lot of patience on my part, lol.
But we made it! You can browse Stitch Love here on Amazon.
And what did you sew this week? Share a picture with us for our Show Off Saturday Picture Party!
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared our linky party on your blog... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
