This week I was invited to a baby shower. I didn't have a lot of time to make a handmade gift like a baby quilt, but that's okay. I decided to sew up a Big Pocket Baby Clutch (using my own free pattern) and stuff it with diapers, wipes, and baby cream.
Here's the handmade part... sewing the clutch. The pocket on the front has pleats on it - so it holds a lot of stuff, plus it looks cute!
Then you get to fill it with whatever you think the new mama will need... baby diapers, wipes, and diaper cream are the obvious items, but she might also like some sweet smelling hand cream or anti-bacterial gel for herself. What would you put in there?
In case you were wondering, these adorable fabrics are from the Born Wild Collection by Ana Davis for Blend Fabrics. Be sure to bookmark my free Big Pocket Baby Pouch pattern for your next baby shower (or better yet, pin it)!
And now it's your turn... what have you been sewing? Share a picture with us in our Show Off Saturday Picture Party!
Remember, you don't need to have blog to add your picture and show off something you made this week. Just leave the 'link' field blank. But if you do have a blog and want to add a link to your picture, great! The most clicked link will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared our linky party on your blog... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
