I'm so excited that my Katy Doll Pattern is finally ready! I've wanted to share this sweet little girl with you for so long.
Katy is the most soft, squish-able, and love-able doll I've ever made!
But that's not really why I felt like I had to release my own doll pattern. I've made lots of dolls using lots of different patterns before and they were all sweet, but three years ago when I was sewing an 'Elsa' doll for my youngest daughter, I had the idea to make her blond hair long and braid-able. It was a stroke of genius, I won't deny it. We practiced braiding the doll's hair together until she could confidently do it on her own, so much fun!
Now my doll pattern Katy has braidable hair - three chunky strands of it. Perfect for little hands.
She also has a skirt that is easy to take on and off for dressing.
And a face made with felt securely attached. So no hand embroidery (unless you want to) and no worrying about little pieces coming undone.
She's perfect! And I'm so glad I got this done in time for your holiday sewing. To celebrate Katy's 'birthday' today, she will be on sale!
