I know it's barely summer, but fall fabrics are hitting the stores and I couldn't resist making a soft and cozy (not to mention spooky) rag quilt. If you haven't seen them yet, these fabrics are from the Spooktacular Eve collection by Maude Asbury for Blend.
Nevermind that it's 90+ degrees outside, we can't stop using this quilt. There's something about a rag quilt that makes everyone want to get under it. My kids have put it on a rotating night-time schedule so they all get to take a turn sleeping with it (but not me, lol).
Not to toot my own horn, but I think I have hit upon the perfect combination of cute quilting cottons, fuzzy flannel, and cozy fleece. This rag quilt is beautiful, soft, and warm (but not too heavy). Hopefully I'll find the time this weekend to type up a tutorial for Monday. :)
So, are you summer sewing or 'following where the fabric takes you' like me? I love seeing what you're up to, so come join our Show Off Saturday Linky Party below!
Remember, if you decide to post your picture(s) online (like on facebook, flickr, or your blog) the linky page will let you enter a link to the page where it is so we can visit it. If it's not posted online yet, you may skip that part and upload a picture from your computer. We all can't wait to see!
Don't forget, the most clicked project will be spotlighted here next Friday - just likeCheryl's Bon Voyage Travel Duffel!
I would love it if you shared our linky party on your blog... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
Please, no links to items for sale. Those links will be deleted. Thank you!
