It's that time of year to start thinking of holiday gifts... and for those of us who sew, it's time to actually sew them! On this Show Off Saturday, I thought I'd share some of my most successful little gifty projects and the tutorials or patterns that I used to make them.
Then you can share your most successful little gifty projects too in our linky party!
All of my 'Gifty Little Things' can be sewn in an afternoon. :)
Last year I made these Pom Pom Pincushions for all of my sewing friends (including my sisters). They are super cute and fun to use... I even kept one for myself!
I made these cute scrappy wallets using a free tutorial from The Sewing Loft earlier this year. There are so many uses for them... including holding other little gifts. It's an awesome beginner project, or a 20 minute project for a seasoned sewist. See that lanyard? That was made from my free lanyard sewing tutorial here.
Aahhh... the Wrist Strap Keychains. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see one of my friends still using their wrist strap keychain even though I gave it to her years ago. Maybe I should give all my friends new ones this year, since some of them look pretty worn out.
This quick and easy canvas tote bag tutorial is my latest addition to the SewCanShe tutorials. This one with the pretty green handles was supposed to be for me... my daughter quickly asked if she could give it to her friend for a birthday gift. How could I say no?
I made these coordinating Here's My Heart Potholder and Sew Handy Fridge Towels from two different free tutorials a few years back. It's another project I totally need to make again. Both of the tutorials are easy to follow and as you can see, make really sweet gifts.
What about you? This is where the 'You and I have Made' part fits in. Have you made any gifts from free tutorials that turned out really well? Maybe you even wrote a tutorial? Please share it in our Show Off Saturday Linky Party this week! We'll make a great roundup of 'Gifty Little Things' to make!
As always, the most clicked photo will be shared in next week's Friday Spotlight post. I can't wait to see what it is!
I would love it if you shared our linky party on your blog... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
