Ummm, yeah the deadline was yesterday and I barely made it in time. There are some amazing quilts that have been entered and I wish you call could see. The entries are in a thread on the Modern Quilt Guild forum, though, so you can only look if you are a member. I love my quilt but I felt kind of way out of my league posting it. I'm still trying to figure out what modern quilting is!
I've done done quite a bit of straight line quilting before, but this was by far the most I've ever tried on a quilt. It was kind of an experiment...
My first set of lines was about 3/8'' apart, and I decided to quilt down the middle of each to make it even more intense. I'm also really happy with the effect that the gray thread had. I had first planned to use matching orange thread for the quilting, but that orange solid fabric was just so warm that I started to think it was too much. I picked out my first few lines of orange quilting and tried gray and loved it. It definitely cools the color down a bit.
Now it's your turn! What have you been stitching up this week?
Remember, if you decide to post your picture(s) online (like on facebook, flickr, or your blog) the linky page will let you enter a link to the page where it is so we can visit it. If it's not posted online yet, you may skip that part and upload a picture from your computer. We all can't wait to see!
Don't forget, the most clicked project will be spotlighted here next Friday.
I would love it if you shared our linky party in your blog post... here's a button to make it easy.
And don't forget to share the love and visit some of the other fun blogs in the party.
