Last week Jennifer from Monaluna sent me a sweet little package of sewing goodies complete with a the Ashland A-line Skirt pattern and some fabric to make it:
I decided the first thing I must do was grab that soft and snuggly organic cotton knit fabric on top (called embroidery knit) and make my Cadie the skirt pictured on the front of the pattern.
I love this pattern! It is so freaking easy to make... took about 15 minutes to sew on my serger (not that you need one - any zig-zag sewing machine is fine) and I adore that easy fit style with a wide waistband. I'm saving those pattern pieces so I can make more skirts plus the cute little shorts and maybe even the culottes.
FYI: there is a women's version too. :)
One more picture and then I swear it's your turn...
